COVID-19 Updates

June 2nd

Dear Patients:

Life has been anything but normal this spring and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. We are happy to inform you that we are now able to once ahain provide dental care for you and your family. The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions placed back in March. While many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.

Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different.
  • We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and you'll be asked those same questions again when you're in the office.
  • You may be asked to wait outside our office or in your car and call us when you arrive and then wait for a call back to let you know when you can enter the office.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the clinic. There are more dispensers around the office for you to use as needed.
  • Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children's toys since those items are difficult to fully disinfect.
  • Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
  • You may be surprised that we're wearing more protective gear - such as masks, face shields, gowns - than we normally do during your visit.
Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, other patients and our team.

We look forward to seeing you again. If you have any questions, please let us know. To make and appointment, call our office at 416-492-3077 or email us at daljeet@tddental.ca or tabuchi@tddental.ca

Thank you for your patience and loyalty throughout this ordeal. We value your trust and look forward to welcoming you back!

Sincerely, Dr. Daljeet, Dr. Tabuchi, Dr. Nikhil and Team

April 2nd
To our valued patients,

Per our prior update, the RCDSO reevaluated the situation at the end of March. Of course as COVID-19 has progressed and Ontario is now in a state of lockdown, we do not foresee a return to normal operation in the near future. The RCDSO will provide us with updates as we progress through April, and we will continue to update our patients as well.

As always, we will be here for emergency treatment for our patients. Please contact our front-desk staff for aid in clarifying the nature of your emergency. We are under strict regulations to minimize in-office visits with reduced hours of operation and ask for your understanding as we schedule tretment with this in mind.

Sincerely,
Dr. Daljeet, Dr. Tabuchi and Team

March 16th
To our valued patients,

As per our March 13 update on our website, we recently instituted recommendations and updates regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) and how we are responding to it at TD Dental. Yesterday, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) released their newest guidelines in response to the pandemic.

Per their website, the RCDSO is currently strongly recommending that all non-essential and elective dental services should be suspended immediately. These recommendations are being made out of an abundance of caution as the risk related to COVID-19 in Ontario remains low. This decision was reached after consultation with local hospitals and public health officials in an attempt to slow the spread of the virus.

As such, TD Dental will take the following measures:
* We will contact our patients currently scheduled for non-essential and elective procedures and reschedule them for a later date. Currently we are rescheduling for beyond the first week of April as the RCDSO will be reassessing the situation by the end of March.
* We will continue to see patients for essential services and emergency treatment. Please contact our front-desk staff for aid if you would like to clarify the nature of your treatment and reschedule if necessary. As your dental health professionals, we will always be there for you in a time of need. However, we will have reduced hours of operation and ask for your understanding as we schedule treatment with this in mind.
* We will continue to exercise the highest rigor in terms of infection control measures - please reference our prior website post for more details.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions and we will continue to provide updates as necessary. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause but our main concern is to protect our patients, staff and the public from the spread of the virus.

Sincerely,
Dr. Daljeet, Dr. Tabuchi and Team

March 13th
To our valued patients,

As concerns about COVID-19 (coronavirus) continue to escalate both on a global scale and in Ontario, we have been closely monitoring the situation with the health and well-being of our patients and local community in mind.

At TD Dental we have always been proactive in our efforts to ensure a sterile and safe environment for our patients and staff.  We adhere strictly to stringent guidelines with respect to infection control measures that effectively eliminate the presence or spread of viruses and bacteria within our practice.  That being said, as patients and their family members enter our practice we ask for everyone to work together and to adhere to the following recommendations:
  • Please be aware of the Government of Canada's travel advisories.  We ask patients that have been to an area with a high presence of COVID-19 to cancel any appointments immediately.  If you have traveled recently and are unsure, please communicate this to the front-desk staff and they can make appropriate recommendations.

  • Patients exhibiting flu-like symptoms are advised to cancel any appointments immediately.

  • We have multiple hand-sanitizing stations throughout the office, including at the front desk. Please sanitize upon entering the premises.

Working together with our community's collective health in mind, we can ensure TD Dental remains a safe and welcoming environment focused on your dental health.  We will continue to monitor any developments related to COVID-19 and provide further communication as needed.

Sincerely,
Dr. Daljeet, Dr. Tabuchi & Team
